Lord Make Me Your Pumpkin

Becoming A Child Of God
Is Like A Pumpkin in a patch;
He first takes us in
and pulls at what is attached.
He brings us into his House
and washes our needs
He scoops all the yucky stuff
even the seeds.
The seeds Of hatred, bitterness,
pride and all that;
then places a lid
on the top like a hat.
But then something special
he crafts with a file;
He molds and cuts out
A very unique smile.
He finishes it off
with eyes full of sight;
And places a candle
in the middle to light.
Then the strike of a match
we glitter and shine;
Bringing Light unto Dark
For those who are blind.
Be A Pumpkin Today will You?
